The Secret To Quick Weight Loss!
Many people ask me this single question day after day: What is the secret to quick weight loss ? My answer every time is this: There is no secret to quick weight loss!
Sure, people can eat less and exercise more to lose weight faster. You can also cut out carbohydrates and lose weight at a rapid pace. That is no secret. What you need to know and fully understand is this: the weight you take off quickly will come back on even faster than you took it off.
Even if you have a high school reunion coming up, do not go for the quick weight loss scenario. Why? Because you will have another event coming soon that you will then need to take even more weight off so you can attend that event feeling better. Quick weight loss is a trap and is very difficult to free yourself.
Here is what you should remember: The weight you are trying to take off did not get there over night, so why would you think you could lose it over night? Be good to yourself and lose the weight at a healthy rate. A reasonable and achievable goal of 1 to 2 pounds per week is perfect and it’s healthy! You do the math. It is possible to lose well over 50 pounds in one year. Taking the weight off slowly also gives you a better chance of keeping it off for good!

My passion for fitness comes from overcoming some very difficult obstacles in my own life. Not too many years ago, I weighed well over 300 pounds, had a very stressful job in the corporate world, and was a heavy smoker. Obviously, that was not the healthiest of lifestyles. It was my fear of a not so long, and unhealthy life, that lead me to a much healthier and happier me! Since then, I have completed several 100 mile bike rides and have even participated in a sprint triathlon. What a difference a couple of years makes!
Staying on the fitness path is not always easy. I often find myself veering off course. I have to work very hard keeping myself on track. I guess that is why I am going to share my stories with anyone who wants to listen. It is my hope that someone might gain something from my journey and hopefully, some of you can help me too!
