Love Handle Exercises - The Remedy For Belly Fat

Love handles are the excess fats deposited around the belly. For years, fitness experts have tried to eliminate these excess deposits of by employing different types of diets, doing Yoga exercises and calisthenics, or by subjecting the body to the Chinese ancient methods of acupressure or acupuncture. These methods were, fortunately, found to be very effective in one way or another as a form of love handle exercises.

There are people, however, who find it hard to go on a diet, or have no time to enroll in a Yoga class. A few others, on the other hand, are just too modern to try old-age remedies. Fortunately, studies have shown that engaging in regular exercise or physical activity can manage if not eliminate these unwanted fats. The only catch is that the extent of physical activity must burn calories more than the calorie intake of the person.

* Eliminate Fats By Doing Crunches

However, belly fat is very hard to eliminate but doing love handle exercises will, at least, tone the stomach muscles. If done regularly, the stomach will actually show a decrease in girth, which will further motivate a person to exercise.

Fats tend to deposit on the belly and at the sides. Try to eliminate them one by one by doing specific love handle exercises for each area. Lying crunches focus on the belly while oblique crunches attack both sides of the body.

* Lying Crunches For The Front

Lying crunches are done while lying straight on your back. Bend your arms behind your head, a palm on top of the other. Flex your knee high enough that you can almost reach your knee when you outstretch your hands. While maintaining this position, inhale deeply then lean straight forward as if you are trying to reach your knees with your forehead. As you return to the original position, exhale slowly.

Do this love handle exercise for at least three sets. After finishing the sets, you will notice that it is more tiring to do love handle exercises than doing aerobics; but feeling sore in the stomach muscles means that you are doing your reps correctly.

* Oblique Crunches For The Sides

These love handle exercises are done to tone the oblique muscles on each side of the body. This part of the body is very hard to tone. In fact, oblique fats are harder to eliminate than belly fats.

To do oblique crunches, lie on your side and slowly raise the top leg up. While raising a leg, try to maintain your position. Similarly, as with a lying crunch, inhale and exhale as you move your leg up and down. To be able to reach the inner oblique muscles, try to do the crunches at an angle. You can do this by raising the leg away from the body while still maintaining the body into a side position.

* If You Do Not Like Crunches, Lift Weights

There are people who do not like lying down on the floor and doing love handle exercises. Fortunately, they can imitate how crunches work by lifting weights. This usually means you have to get to a gym however, but you have more options available as there are a number of weightlifting tools that can improve the abdomen such as dumbbell side bends or by using the pulley machine.

It should be noted there are many love handle exercises that do not help. So be sure to learn about this before starting.
