How to Keep Your Weight Loss Motivation

When you are on the track of trying to lose weight because the present weight you are in is too unhealthy for your own good, you need to have your weight loss motivation with you 24/7. The thing with losing weight is that many people lose their motivation before any pound and kilo are lost. Most of them lose their motivation while in the middle of the program. As a result, they end up gaining even more weight. With all this in mind, you know that being motivated and staying that way is necessary from the start to the finish of any weight loss agenda you are in.

So how do you keep it? Here are some ways you can do to keep motivated during any weight loss program .

Imagine It

This is one of the most popular ways of keeping motivated. When you work out or pick that vegetable salad over the lasagna, keep your motivation in mind. This may be your ex-boyfriend who called you ” Ms. HOGwarts”, or the slim and sexy brunette who makes sure you envy her, or the tiny dress you could not resist buying. Whatever your motivation and reason is, keep it in mind. Imagine it. Make it your life’s mantra until the day that you make it into reality.

Put It Up

Another way that you can keep your weight loss motivation is by putting it up. How? Turn it into words and write it on a big banner. Take a picture of it and turn it into a huge poster. Write it down in Post-Its. Whichever form your reminder takes, make sure to put it in places such as your fridge door, beside your TV screen, or even in your personal office board. The point is that these strategic places should be where you frequently are. However, putting them just about anywhere is good, too. By placing them in almost every nook and cranny in your house, you will end up constantly reminded of why you want to lose weight.

Motivation Partner

This is by far the most effective method of keeping your weight loss motivation ever. By using this alone or combining it with other methods, you can be sure to always be on the track to losing weight.

When you decide to have a motivation partner, pick somebody who is close to you while at the same time stern with you. Make sure that this person has your best interest at heart and will always be there for you when you need help. This can be a parent, a sibling, or a friend. Whoever this person is, make sure that he or she is willing to help you lose weight as well as not be easily bullied by you in case you decide to stop in the middle of the program.

Dear Diary

If you do not like having a motivation partner, you may keep a diary instead. Aside from putting down your thoughts every night, also include your weight as well as what you did to help you lose weight. In this way, not only will you be able to keep track of your progress, but also be determined enough to keep going to the end.

  1. I think motivation is especially a problem for those that comfort eat. If you are having a bad day or are stressed out with work, reaching for the biscuits is the worst thing to do. Never try to balance emotions with food.

  2. The best motivation I got when I was loosing weight was the fact that my clothes did not fit any longer. Week by week I went to the center to get weight and results were awesome I was loosing weight and at the same time I was feeling energized. Today I exercise 5 times a week and apply what I learned in the program. I look in the mirror and I like what I see and how I feel.
