This exercise works every large muscle in the body and if done with short rest periods can be a good cardio workout (gets the heart rate up).

    I really enjoy interval training, but do it a bit differently. Instead of 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, I try and spend 2 min in moderate mode, then 1 minute in a full sprint.

    Repeat this a few times and your heart will be flying :)

  8. I find your three tips absolutely essential to weight loss, and they were quite effective in my younger days, but now that I’m a senior I don’t find them as effective as when I was younger.   13. Great advice. I have high blood pressure and exercise is also great for keeping that under control, especially the kind of cardio exercise such as rowing (in the gym for me I must add).
    The only thing I have experienced though is that the weight has not gone quickly. It has gone more slowly, not that it is a problem for me because then it stays off! Every person is different, but the common denominator for success to lose weight (as in everything in life) is consistency and perseverance - so don’t get discouraged if, like me, you don’t lose the pounds as quickly as you want to.
